John Swann (cricketer)
John Lassam Swann (born 3 October 1926 Ealing, Middlesex, England – 4 July 2011 Hertfordshire, England) was an English cricketer and footballer.
John Swann was a left-handed middle-order batsman and leg-break bowler who represented Middlesex County Cricket Club in four first-class matches between 1949 and 1951. He was active in Middlesex 2nd XI cricket throughout the 1950s and also captained the Club Cricket Conference (being awarded his cap in 1952). He played alongside Horace Brearley for Brentham Cricket and Football Clubs.
The former Middlesex captain Mike Brearley paid a fond tribute in the October issue of "The Cricketer International".
